The monomer-dimer problem: physics and combinatorics

In this talk, I will present the dimer problem in physics and generalization in combinatorics and graph theory. After the presentation of the Kasteleyn Fisher Temperley solution of the dimer model on the square lattice, I will discuss the generalized monomer-dimer model and show how Grassmann variables can be used to express the partition function.
